perl interface to gtk build problem

Hi:
        I am having problems building the perl interface to gtk on a Dec
Alpha.  The make works fine, I get an error regarding unresolved symbols
at run-time.  I have build glib and gtk librarys without issue.

        Dec Unix 4.0d on Dec Alpha, perl 5.004

perl MakeMaker cmd:

perl Makefile.PL CCFLAGS="-L /usr/local/lib/glib/lib -L/usr/local/lib/gtk/lib -I/usr/local/lib/gtk/include"

bash$ make test
