How about just having a single bar with sliders on it (that look like
the little triangles on rulers, get the idea) ?  This is a more
intuitive interface than that lame triangle, but admittedly looks worse.

It should also be n-values, instead of hardcoding at 3, I think.  That
would be much more useful, I think.  Also harder.
