this will obviously have to be done to support porting KDE/windows apps to
Gnome, but *how* it will be done can be a creative effort. i'm all for the
idea someone had a while back where the MDI windows can be either
windows-inside-windows or work like a tabbed notebook (togglable by a
right-click menu)
