I have downloaded gtk+-1.0.0 tar.
I have configured the gtk+ make process with the autogen.sh.
I have compiled, linked and ar'ed gtk.
But the linking of testgtk fails with a bunch of undefined refs:
All of which are X library references (...i asume .... ), like
for instance:
../gdk/.libs/libgdk.so: undefined reference to `XFreePixmap'
../gdk/.libs/libgdk.so: undefined reference to `XSetWMProtocols'
../gdk/.libs/libgdk.so: undefined reference to `XSetWMIconName'
../gdk/.libs/libgdk.so: undefined reference to `XLowerWindow'
../gdk/.libs/libgdk.so: undefined reference to `XCreateFontCursor'
../gdk/.libs/libgdk.so: undefined reference to `XCopyGC'
etc. etc.
I am running redhat 5.0 (hurricane) on a intel mashine.
I have the following XFree86 rpm's installed:
XFree86-3.3.1-15
XFree86-75dpi-fonts-3.3.1-15
XFree86-libs-3.3.1-15
XFree86-devel-3.3.1-14
In ld.so.conf, i have
/usr/i486-linux-libc5/lib
/usr/X11R6/lib
/usr/dt/lib
/usr/lib
AND have LD_LIBRARY_PATH set to:
/usr/lib:/usr/X11R6/lib
Probably a trivial problem?
What am i missing?
What i did get wrong?
I'd appreciate any help .... (must admit, i am both new to gtk and
X11 ......)
Chris
