The port has been usable since Jannuary.  The GNOME help browser and
the Balsa reader both use it.  You can find it on the gnome-libs package.

The API is mostly the same, except on those parts where the code
relied on Motif to accomplish something (SetValues and GetValues), in
those cases, you have to use the supplied routines to manipulate the
widget.

No and a major overhaul of the code is underway (to adapt to the
latest model used by Koen).
