Hello all,
What widget would be most suitable to implement a command-entry widget, a sort
of shell? What I am working on is an application that the user can interact
with by typing perl to it directly. I am thinking along the lines of, say, an
xterm-like environment, embedded in the rest of the application window. (It
would be nice if cursor up/down would cycle through the history of commands at
the current prompt, unlike the text widget. Also, some way of entering
multi-line commands (by terminating the line with a \, for example) would be
nice.) Anyone done this before? Hints? (I really don't feel like rehacking the
text widget for this. *shiver*, nay, *SHIVER*)
Thanks!
Johannes.
