Hi !
I have noticed some problems with the GTK fileselector. If I set the
default path as an absolute path, it seems GTK is looking at all the
directories below the one I entered, as well.
Usually this does not pose a big problem, but on machines with NFS/AFS
partitions, this causes the whole X server to freeze if an
automounter-daemon tries to mount it's partitions and the other
machine isn't responding fast enough.
It can always happen that NFS times out or isn't reachable, so I think
it is not a good thing to have the whole GUI freeze when the amd gets
some problems...
Is there any way to stop the fileselector from doing that ?
Thanks,
Georg
