Drawing 2 pixmaps on a single drawable

Hi there

    I would just like to ask you guys how I would go about drawing more
than one xpm pixmap on a single gtkdrawingarea
without really having to declare a separate variable for each and every
pixmap I want to draw on the said gtkdrawingarea
I really hope that you guys out there can help me.
