Actually, IF you are using gcc (I didn't notice if you specified), make sure that
your sysadmin did NOT move the "old" gcc from Solaris 2.4 over to 2.6 without
recompilation.. There are some known problems using Solaris 2.x (where x <6)
gcc's under Solaris 2.6. If you recompile the compiler and reinstall, all should
be well -- the problem has to do with the "fixincludes".. This is a well known and
documented Solarisism.. We are running Solaris 2.6, but I've not bothered
migrating to the later version of gtk...
