With GdkEvent * gtk_get_current_event() you find out the event that
triggered the callback.
like:
GdkEvent * event;
event = gtk_get_current_event();
if ( event->type == GDK_BUTTON_RELEASED )
printf("Button %d was pressed\n", event->button);
