gtk+-1.1.9 configure error

Hi!
Calling configure from gtk+-1.1.9 I get:

...
found xgettext program is not GNU xgettext; ignore it
checking for catalogs to be installed...  de pt
sed: can't read ./intl/po2tbl.sed.in: No such file or directory
...

Makefiles are built, but make just says:

Making all in po
make[2]: Entering directory `/home/rbock/linux/install/gtk+-1.1.9/po'
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `deNONE', needed by `all-yes'. 
Stop.

What's going on?
