Hi,
I'm having a minor nightmare here
installing gtk+. Compiling is no
problem. ./configure, make, make
install work without a single error
message. I made sure that my
/usr/local/lib directory is in
/etc/ld.so.conf and I ran ldconfig.
I checked that the new library files
exist in the lib directory.
Everything looks perfect. The only
problem is that none of my
applications will link to this
library! I've tried this with gtk+
version 1.06, 1.1.2 and 1.1.5. All
the same thing. I removed the
existing gtk+ 1.0.2 that came with
my redhat installation. I've tried
installing to different lib
directories also. I've tried
everything I can think of.
Does anyone have any idea how I can
link the library files and get my
apps to recognize the newly
installed gtk?
Thanks
Mike
