binutils bug

This is probably old news, but it caused me trouble while trying to
build GTK+:
The binutils package from RedHat 5.0 seems to have a bug related to
the -rpath linker option, which causes it to use the hardwired path in
preference to LD_LIBRARY_PATH... or something like that. As a result,
it seems almost impossible to run testgtk from the source directory
dynamically-linked to the library in the source directory: it always
tries to use the installed version.
Upgrading to binutils-2.9.1.0.4-2 from RH5.1 fixes the problem.
