strange error

When running a program of mine i get this error often:

** ERROR **: file gtktext.c: line 697 (gtk_text_insert): "GTK_WIDGET_REALIZED(te

then it gets an abort trap and core dumps

i've looked over all my code and looked into some of gtk src...but i cannot find
my im getting this error...it tends to happen when writing to a text widget...
but not all the time, only some times (which is why i'm having a hard time deugg
ing it). does anyone know what can cause this error? or how to prevent it from 
happening?
