Uh, take a look at the .gtkrc file.

# style <name> [= <name>]
# {
#   <option>
# }
# widget_class <widget_class_set> style <style_name>

Part of a style definition can be color and pixmap.

gtkrc.  You can change colors, fonts, pixmaps, etc.
