GTK Application Embedding?

Hi, I have an idea of implementing application embedding,
such as MS OLE, using GTK.  I read the spec of the X
Application Group extension, and felt that it is possible to
just embed another program's window in a GTK widget.  But it
becomes more useful if we have communication between them
via something like remote procedure calls.

Is anyone trying such a thing?
