gtk+-0.99.0 configure trouble on SunOS 4.1.x

Hello,

I can't compile gtk on a sparc workstation and I find nothing on 
the archive mailing list.

>pwd
/tmp/gtk+-0.99.0

>uname -a
SunOS censier 4.1.4 1 sun4m

>./configure 
loading cache ./config.cache
.../...
checking for XOpenDisplay in -lX11... yes
checking for XShmAttach in -lXext... yes
./configure: test: too many arguments

>which test
/usr/bin/test

>file /usr/bin/test
/usr/bin/test:  sparc pure dynamically linked executable

!?!?!? I try on a Solaris 2.x host and that work fine.

So I try the Solaris 2.X test script (see bellow) with no success :( :
