Hi there,
I made the following two suggestions (among others) to the Gimp
developers. They told me, that the following two, are most likely a gtk
matter.
I hope the gtk-developers here find these suggestions somewhat useful...
;)
Any comments on these?
- The idea on how to redefine a key is great, and I like it very much.
Still, I'd change it a little bit:
[current behaviour]
I move the mouse to the item I want to assign a key to and
press the new key.
[desired behaviour]
I move the mouse to the item I want to assign a new key
to.
I press the "new" key, and if that key is currently used
somewhere else, gimp will open a window for a second or
two and show the current key use. If I hit the key again
it will change the binding, if I hit another key it will
again first show me the current binding.
- I'd like to be able to set hotkeys on a sub-menu, e.g. set CTRL-L to
"Xtns/Script-Fu/Logos". When I hit CTRL-L the Gimp should open the
logos submenu right under my mouse, without me having to go through
the Xtns menu again by "wild moving around".
