yet another autoconf problem: building pango w/ X11 + sysroot

Hi folks,


I'm currently trying to get pango built in an sysroot environment.
It seems there is no way to tell ./configure where to get the 
X stuff from (it always takes the buildhost root) and it seems
to be really undebuggable.

How can I get this fixed without writing my own ./configure ?
