unicode fonts

i had a question about unicode fonts that i posted to gtk-list,
but i just discovered this list and realized it had been more
appropriate here, but in short i'm looking for examples of unicode code
written for gtk+2.  (specifically with greek and hebrew fonts,
but anything to sift through would be welcome)
links or short examples, whatever.
