The big changes from 1.7 are:

1. The Arabic and Hebrew glyphs have undergone dramatic improvement.
2. Braille, Cherokee, and Unified Canadian Aboriginal Syllabics added.
3. Extra glyphs needed for Devanagari provided in separate font much like
   extra glyphs needed for Arabic.
4. Numerous other glyphs added here and there as the effort to provide glyphs
   for Unicode 3.1.1 continues.
5. A separate font containing just the Arabic glyphs is available.

The ClearlyU family of fonts provides a set of 12 pt, 100 dpi proportional
BDF (bitmap) fonts with many of the glyphs needed for Unicode text. Together,
the fonts contain approximately 8700 glyphs.

The examples found at the ClearlyU home page will be updated eventually.
