message catalog files

I'm writing an application that makes use of some gtk widgets that are
available with translations (the file browser, for instance).
The .mo files for Japanese for these widgets came with my distribution,
but I'm having trouble finding a source for others (Chinese, and various
European languages).  I'm sure these must be online somewhere, does
anyone know, exactly, where?
