Pango, FT2 backend, and font files

Hi all,

Just looking at the new Gnome2-beta devel libraries and of course overwhelmed
by pango's complexity. Here's a starter question:


Conceptually when using pango with the FT2 backend how do you configure
it to locate font files (Type1/TrueType/OpenType/CID).

I can understand that the Render backend uses XftConfig but not sure
how the FT2 backend would find files.

That's all for now.

BTW the ft viewer example doesn't compile under Gnome2-devel-beta
right?
