about displaying and inputing Chinese words

 On Solaris 2.6(in Chinese Env.), I have installed GTK+. 

i found it can't display chinese words on a button and can't 

input a chinese word in a textbox.i have used "setlocale()" func.

in my test-program, but no use. how can i solve the problem?
