Are GtkIconSizes dynamic or static?

Hi,

I couldn't find conclusive info on this, so I hope someone
in this list can clarify.

Are GtkIconSizes dynamic or static? In particular, do/can
they depend on font scale/size?

I'm asking this because it doesn't seem so (by watching
core GNOME apps during font changes), but it makes sense
to be, specially with hi-res screens becoming more popular.
