failing unit test (bug 635852)

I have filed a bug report in Bugzilla 2010-11-26:

I have received no reply as of this date. I think the issue is real
and the bugzilla entry contains a patch that fixes the bug.

If you think the patch is ok, please consider applying it, or
if not please let me know what I should change.
