What would be really useful at this stage is if people could extend
some effort to look for other things that might have been broken by
csw in their applications, so that we don't get a big surprise when
2.18 is released. A quick way to check for possible csw-related
breakage is to run the applications with GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=1, which
turns on a 'compatibility mode' in which GDK makes all windows native
and tries to be nice in general. A more thorough test is to run the
application against GTK+ 2.16, e.g. by using LD_PRELOAD. Remember that
you need to preload both libgdk-x11 and libgtk-x11 in their 2.16
versions for this to work.
