svn/gtk+/tags/GTK_2_12_8 has a directory GTK-2-12 ???

I started a "svn co http://svn.gnome.org/svn/gtk+/tags/GTK_2_12_8  gtk+" to get
a copy of the source files for the new 2.12.8 release and eventually noticed
that I was getting what appeared to be a 2nd (same ?) set of source directories
& files from a GTK-2-12 directory under that tag which were similar to the top
level.

Is the presence of the GTK_2_12 directory under the tag correct ? 

Or: Am I using an incorrect command to obtain a copy of the gtk 2.12.8 source
files ?

I note that http://svn.gnome.org/viewvc/gtk%2B/tags/GTK_2_12_7 (for example) 
does not have a similar directory.
