This is an incompatible change. The contract now is that unless you compile with G_DISABLE_ASSERT, g_assert(FALSE) will cause your program to exit with a non-zero status. The fact that you *could* fix up 'make test' (for GLib, etc, etc, etc) by making warnings terminate the program doesn't help. It's still incompatible. - Owen
