- Date: Fri, 07 Jan 2005 13:40:32 -0500
Its this time of the week again...
The meeting is intended for the GTK+ team, but everybody is
welcome to come and listen. The meeting logs will be posted
on the GTK+ website (http://www.gtk.org/plan/meetings).
Place: irc.gnome.org:#gtk-devel
Time: 21:00 UTC (16:00 EST), Monday January 10
Possible agenda items:
- 2.8 plans and schedule
Please remember to put features which you intend to work on
for 2.8 on the "2.8 API freeze" milestone. Here is a proposal
for a schedule:
December 16 2.6.0 released
January 7 Now
April 1 Cut off for major features existing in prototype form
June 1 Major features are in tree, 2.7.0 release (releases
every other week until 2.8.0)
July 1 API freeze
August 1 2.8.0 release
I know that we originally aimed for "mid of 2005", but this schedule
is already quite a bit tighter than the 2.6 schedule, and I don't think
it is realistic to squeeze it even more.
Matthias
