My opinion about this new compilation environment for gtkwin is that
I'm really willing to be able to cross compile gtk apps the same way I
allready do for SDL apps...
I few month ago I had to tune a little bit the script referenced at
http://www.libsdl.org/extras/win32/cross/README.txt
but basically it did everything I was needing : providing quickly a
stable reliable and free (money and speech) compiling environment.
I must say I tried to cross compile gtk apps but never could achieve a
decent result.
really if some apt-xxx stuff can provide a neat cross compiling for
gtk, it'd be the best.
however I agree that having numerous different sets of dll for gtk and
surrounding libs should be avoided...
