glib-gettextize and new automake

Hi,
With automake 1.6 and 1.7 it's doing the "can't write to srcdir" thing
which breaks with the old Makefile.in.in that glib-gettextize
installs. New gettext has a different Makefile.in.in that looks like
it might work. How do we handle this?
