Re: resolved bugs

Hi all,

Just a question: why don't anyone changes states of RESOLVED/{FIXED, NOTABUG,
DUPLICATE} bugs to 'CLOSED'?
Or it should be done by a reporter? If so, I can close over 200 bugs I filed
against gtk+ which are RESOLVED...
Most maintainers seem to ignore the VERIFIED and CLOSED states, so you should probably also ignore them :)

When I remember, I ask bug reporters to mark bugs as VERIFIED after I resolve them if I actually fixed their problem (and REOPEN them if they are broken ...). In the absense of a QA staff, I find that bug reporters can do a pretty good job at checking whether a problem has been fixed or not.
