for event dealing

hi ,i 'd like to draw a curve for 
specific data, 
however, before whare i want to draw, the expose_event
will be called for many times, 
and the drawing area's zie at last become to 
zero for its x,y and width ,height, then lead
to segment fault. 
  who can help me?
