unix signal handling in gtk application.

hi ,i have written small application using GTK+ and using unix signals [SIGUSR1/ SIGUSR2] for communication between processes. But i have observed that parent process hangs @ gtk_main and does not respond to unix signals.

or is their anyway to handle unix signals in gtk appln ?
