Hi,

Does anyone care if we just drop the issue of how to deprecate
properties and break the old "shadow" name for the two widgets that
use it?

It's not big breakage, and we need to get these bugs closed. Worrying
about the Right Way to do property deprecation is probably lower in
priority than fixing the other open GObject API bugs, so let's just
postpone the issue until 2.2 or 3.0 and live with this minor glitch
for 2.0.

If no objections I'll just do the renames in the next couple days.
