Tonight's CVS gives:

GRuntime-WARNING **: cannot create new instance of invalid (non-instantiatable) type `<unknown>'

and then blows up with a SEGV.  Comparing your patch to mine, i see
you have omitted any mention of GParamSpecTypeInfo for the new
types.  i suspect this is part of the problem.

i've been using my patch reliably for a few weeks.  After s/quad/int64/g,
it should be very similar to whatever changes are eventually made.
