Actually, the test case I attached to the bug seems to show that wm2
and sawfish do implement at least NW,SW,NE,SE gravity correctly. 
(The test doesn't show the behavior with centering very clearly. Though
they do the same thing on on map and subsequent XMoveWindow.)
