Status of linux-fb port (making it cursed :-)

Hi!

What is status of linux-fb port? Is it up to current? Who is
maintainer of linux-fb port?

Why I'm asking? It should be pretty easy to modify linux-fb port to
work well with curses -- bringing gtk to text mode with minimum cost.
