gtk and multiplie X displays

 Hi, 

 Looking at the gtk/gdk source, it seems that adding support for multiplie
X displays won't be that hard (just add something like gdkx_push_display,
gdkx_pop_display, gdkx_register_display) (am I wrong?). What gtk developers
think about adding support for multiplie X displays? Did anybody tried to make
a rough implementation of it? If yes, why it's not already there?
