exposure bug with ctree and popup menus

I have created a CTree, and when a user clicks on an element, it selects
it, and then pops up a popup menu.

In the background, something happens to remove the elements under the popup
menu (in this case, it happened to be the list element I clicked on). When
the popup menu goes away because I click either on a element in the menu or
outside it, the ctree gets redrawn to how it looked when the popup menu was
created. Thus I get trash on the CTree.

I'm running GTK-1.2.0. Has this been fixed already in newer releases?
