Scaling Fonts, GDK question

I have a (hopefully) quick question. I'd like to make a label
that stretches the text in it so that it always fills the area
it's given.

As I recall, this became possible back in the X11R4 era, and
I'm just wondering if this feature has been surfaced in GDK
yet.
