hmmm ... weird ... I seem to see where the problem lies then ...

after looking at the code I now see what gtk does ... however I don't
see why my code still doesn't destroy the widgets if they have a positive
refcount value ... I didn't override the destroy method in any of the
container widgets I have ...

hmmm ...

sorry I shouted ...

it's most likely my fault then ...
