strange crash on Windows XP

When packaging my app for Windows, for a long time I've been using the files available at http://www.gtk.org/download/win32.php . I recently decided
to update the GTK stack, and I built gtk 2.24.17 and friends
(cross compiling from Linux with mingw32). The resulting package seems to work fine for most people, but I've had a report that my app crashes on Windows XP SP3, simply if
the user tries to move a dialog window via its title bar.
No such problem has been reported on other platforms.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of changes in the GTK stack, (relative to what's at gtk.org) that might have made it unstable on XP? Here's a listing of the packages I used in building the stack, with the gtk.org versions that I was using previously in parentheses:

glib-2.36.1 (2.28.8)
atk-2.8.0 (1.32.0)
pixman-0.28.2 (0.24.0)
cairo-1.12.14 (1.10.2)
gdk-pixbuf-2.28.1 (2.24.0)
pango-1.34.0 (1.29.4)
gtk+-2.24.17 (2.24.10)
