To me it looks like GtkCombo is deprecated in favor of GtkComboBox:

According to

:
"As of GTK+ 2.4, GtkCombo has been deprecated in favor of
GtkComboBoxEntry."

GtkCombBoxEntry does also seem to be deprecated though, and GtkComboBox
seems to be what is supposed to be used. See
