This is sort of off topic, but since the stability of GTK on Windows was a subject of this thread, I'd like 
to ask about GIMP?
How come GIMP is completely stable on WIndows?

Well, it is stable in the sense that it doesn't crash (knock on wood)
in normal use. I didn't mean there would be crasher bugs in GTK+ on
Windows. If such are found, they are typically easy to fix.

But especially in GIMP it is painfully obvious to see the problems in
window state and "hint" management when one has multiple windows open
as one practically always has in GIMP with its separate tool dialogs
and image windows. (Unless one tells GIMP to not use window manager
hints and have has all windows as "normal windows".)

 So GIMP is a single threaded software?

No, but...

There's never GTK+ multithreaded activity?

Indeed.
