Bug 603527 is "programs linked against glib-2.22 won't run on MS
Windows 2000" (due to the missing symbol freeadrinfo), and Tor
Lillqvist's last comment on bugzilla is "OK, fixed now as well as
it can be; i.e. if there is <wspiapi.h> when building GLib, it is
used."

I'd be very grateful if we could get a build of GLib 2.22.4 that
works on Windows 2000.  I notice that while the default download
at www.gtk.org is still GLib 2.22.3, there's a 2.22.4 build in the
binaries/win32/glib/2.22 directory on ftp.gnome.org.  However,
I've tried using this in my app package and I'm getting reports
from users on win2k that it doesn't work -- that is, you get "The
procedure entry point freeaddrinfo could not be found in
ws2_32.dll" on trying to start the GLib-linked program.
