yeah, same happened to me on Fedora-8

I simply removed the bug-buddy package. Now my application happily generates a core file,
and I can use ddd w/ the core file to debug it.

Having said that... It MIGHT be possible to configure bug-buddy to allow core files to
drop. I honestly didn't look into it.
