AM_PATH_GLIB_2_0 incompatible with AC_LANG(C++)

Hello.
AM_PATH_GLIB_2_0 doesn't seem to work after AC_LANG(C++) (because
autoconf uses CXXFLAGS instead of the CFLAGS set by the macro).
Is this intentional? Can the macro be extended to support both C and
C++? Or should I just switch to AC_LANG(C) while testing for Glib?
