Managing dialogs

Hello all.

When runing a dialog with gtk_dialog_run the buttons for maximize and
minimize it are not there, if the same dialog is shown with
gtk_widget_show, they are there.

Also, I would like that my main window apears maximized when the program
starts, what function should i call?
